NAFCA Celebrates Ten Year Anniversary NAFCA also known as Nepalis and Friends Cultural Association celebrated it's Ten Year Anniversary on September 5, 2008. NAFCA is a nonprofit and nonpolitical organization that was established in Davis, California, on September 5, 1998. NAFCA has been officially registered as a nonprofit organization in the state of California since February 4, 2000. NAFCA’s mission is to preserve and promote Nepali cultural heritage and foster mutual cooperation among Nepalis and friends of Nepal. |

First Annual Camping and Picnic First Annual NAFCA Camping and Picnic Program organized by NAFCA on Saturday August 2 and 3 was a great success. A special thanks to the camping and picnic organizers Gajendra Adhikari and Uddhav Giri for making the event exciting and fun. |

Special Events NAFCA hosts and participates in many special events. Over the years NAFCA has hosted events with special delegates, participated in the Davis Picnic Day Parade, performed for ANA and AGAMI Foundations, and conducted an historical public meeting. |

Dashain Celebration Dashain falls in the month of October. Traditionally Dashain is the most important festival in Nepal lasting for 15 days. Here we gather for one afternoon and evening to celebrate Dashain. Families and friends gather to participate in traditional games, dance, music, and to eat traditional food. |

Special Awards In April 2006, NAFCA started to give three types of recognition certificates - Outstanding Contribution, Noteworthy Contribution, and Certificates of Appreciation to all performers who participate in our cultural events. NAFCA also recognizes those individuals who have made a substantial financial contribution/donation to NAFCA by giving certificates for Honorary, Patron, and Lifetime memberships. In this way NAFCA hopes to demonstrate our sincere appreciation and to memorialize what these individuals have done for NAFCA. |

Donation and Fundraisers NAFCA hosts Fundraisers to help us to fulfill our mission, but we also host fundraisers for many other worthy causes, such as Tsunami victims, Cyclone victims, Fire victims, Flood Victims, and A Room to Read. |
